Worship – Technical
Team Leader
Rod Barber
Purpose of Ministry
Glorify and show our love to God by using technology to communicate the message of God’s works while enabling the congregation to freely worship the Lord and engaging their senses throughout.
Ministry Services Needed
- Sound board – Make sure that all with a public part to play in corporate worship service are clearly heard and are able to glorify God and bless the congregation with their service.
- Multimedia – Through the use of computer software and video projectors, and by working with the sound board operator, make sure all visual media are clearly seen and understood by the congregation
- Sound technician – Work with the worship leader and tech team to make sure the audio output is the clearest we can provide for the congregation during worship.
- Web programmers and computer-savvy users: Help the worship leader and worship team expand or make more efficient the technical elements of worship through software, whether created or purchased.
Tim Commitment
- Sound board: Typically, two hours on Thursday evening at 7pm, 1.5 hours of practice Sunday morning at 8am, and time during the entire corporate worship service.
- Multimedia: 1.5 hours of practice on Sunday morning at 8am, an time during the entire corporate worship service.
A 1.5 hour worship planning meeting is usually held at least once a month to plan the upcoming worship services.
Additional Comments
Serving on the worship technical team is less public service than the worship team, but is equally as important. Without them, corporate worship time would be much less effective than it is today. Whether you are interested in technology, audio or computers, this ministry helps you serve while teaching you more about the technical side of worship.
